Reporting requires a free GitHub account.

Search the existing issues first. Include closed ones — your problem may already be fixed in a newer build. A duplicate report with no version and no log is the one thing guaranteed not to lead to a fix.

Check these four things first

They account for most of what gets reported.

  1. Update the addon to the latest version and try again.
  2. Update Recruits and Villager Workers as well. Both are required, and both must be on their latest versions — Recruits 1.15.2 or newer, and Villager Workers 2.0.3 or newer. Running an older one produces bugs that look like they come from this addon, and those reports cannot be acted on.
  3. Read the coloured status lines printed when you join a world — see below.
  4. Run /vrversion and copy that exact string into your report.

The login status lines

Every time you join a world, the addon prints one coloured line for each optional mod it can integrate with. That line is usually the answer when a feature appears to be installed but does nothing at all.

ColourMeaning
GreenInstalled and working. Nothing to do.
YellowInstalled but incomplete. The line names exactly what is missing — read it before reporting.
RedNot installed. Those features are simply absent, which is not a bug.

The common yellow case is a gun mod without its Recruits compat mod. Soldiers will carry the guns and never fire them — that is the compat mod missing, not the addon misbehaving.
